I was thrilled to find this beautiful Ribbon Candy. I haven't had any in years. It is as good as I remember! Of course with all the rain we are having, it is pretty much ONE piece of candy now - all stuck together. But I don't need to eat it anyway!
This brings back Memories.. of my great aunt having stale ribbon candy on her mantel. She was an avid knitter so you had to pick yarn threads off of it to eat. I just picked up a box last night. My friend at the store told me that each box was shipped in 5 layers of bubble wrap to keep them from breaking. HA, by the time we got home we could hear jingling in the box. Broken. Oh well I bought it to bring to my moms, just for the memories.
Ahhh memories of my grandma bringing ribbon candy for Christmas, along with her homemade cookies. This is beautiful, Suzie. Thanks for the memories. :-)
Beautiful shot! I remember ribbon candy from my childhood-haven't had it in years either. Guess I'll have to find some to share with the kids..Again, wonderful shot, very colorful and I love the bokeh.
