We were downtown Charleston today and the sound of the drums lured us to see what was going on. The drummers were great but were completely outdone by this small boy who LOVED the sounds they made. He stood right there and all of a sudden started dancing. No one suggested it and no one else was doing it. He just "felt the music"! It was priceless!
It's so great to see the music emerge from little ones. When Ella was a toddler, she used to start moving when she heard certain songs. I noticed this weekend that when she heard some of pop songs on the radio, she just starts singing along with the music. I love that innocent confidence to just sing out, not caring if people are listening or not.
