Round the Block

I have realized how much I enjoying seeing where all of my 365 friends live since we are from all over the world so I have decided to introduce you to my home. We moved to Yuma, Arizona just about a year ago, lived in our camper while we did some fix up before moving in.

Our neighborhood is sort of unique as it is mostly retired people who only come for the winter months. Each of the lots on our streets can have a house, a mobile home or a camper or a home and a camper like us. It is such a fun place because no two are alike and we all have this wonderful Mexican brick everywhere.

In my first picture I am heading off with my dog, Jake. We walk each morning so come along for a tour with us!
Such a beautiful picture of the street ... What a beautiful dog too!!!

Love the picture and the little peek into your life, which is so different from my own in Richmond, VA. What fun to spend your summer traveling but knowing you have a great reunion waiting for you in Yuma in the winter.

I would love to live in a warmer climate. my late sister lived in Phoenix for quite a few years. the retirement area you moved to sounds unique in that you can have your home and your RV all year around on your lot. love your dog. nice breed. and thank your for the follow, will follow you back.

@tonydebont Thank you, Tony for the FAV! And the mailbox is not mine but a few houses down. Mailboxes like this are made on the streets in Mexico which is just about 20 minutes from my home. I love them!

@allie912 Thank you, Allison! We lived for about six months on our boat in Deale, Maryland and would drive by Richmond each time we traveled from Charleston, SC - back and forth as we bought the boat and then returned to see family in Charleston. It is a lovely area!

@bruni Bruni, there are A LOT of Canadians who live in Yuma. You should come down one day and check it out. Our best Canadian friends live in Ontario and the others in Nova Scotia. We met them when we were sailing the Bahamas. We are great fans of Canada, eh!

@olivetreeann Ann, I love your neighborhood! Look at all those gorgeous trees! We don't have trees, not really. Just one here and there. Where do you live? And yes, it is very flat! I love that because it means I can fairly easily ride my bike!

@stownsend I live on the eastern side of Pennsylvania- the region is called The Poconos. The nearest "city" to us is Stroudsburg. But we are also not too far from Allentown, Philadelphia and New York City. I am originally from New Jersey- so I'm somewhat of a transplant.

Jake has that 'oh no photos again' look! My girls are so used to me suddenly stopping that I think they are surprised when I don't!
