The cruisers all called this place "Velcro Beach" because it is such a nice stop that people stay much longer than planned....some even buying homes and really staying. For a cruiser, this place is great. There is a shuttle that takes you to the shopping center, the water is calm and the atmosphere rather party-like. There are never enough mooring balls so we all would double and triple up. In this picture we are on the left and our friends on the right. We were the boat tied to the mooring ball and then Auriga tied to us. Later another boat tied to our other side. We didn't know them so we got to make a new friend!
Nice photo! My aunt lived in Vero Beach when I was a kid. We would spend every February vacation there, and my mom sent me down for a couple of summers to stay with my aunt. I love this place.
Bruni, how interesting that you would call this picture 'kissing cousins' because at the time that is what I said about it too! - That our boats were kissing!
