Visiting Terlingua, Texas, I came upon the local gathering place and discovered the primary local activity - hanging out on this porch and drinking beer. They even included the requisite sleeping hound. A sign of the wall states "No Dogs on Porch," but there were easily more dogs than humans. I don't think that Terlinguans care too much - about anything.
Oh yikes, at first glance I did not recognize that black object as a dog on the porch. I thought it was maybe a camera-gear bag. Thanks to your commentary I now see the feet and pads of the pooch. Funny about there being more dogs than humans in a place there weren't suppose to be any canines.
@888rachel It's a fine line between a sleepy town and an utterly boring town. This one errs on the sleepy side. Fun to visit, but I also would not cope well there for long. Gotta have my Domino's once in a while!
i'd have expected to see old men hanging around on a porch like this in a place such as terlingua. nice to see the hotstuff, i mean, the young man hanging around in there, too! nice shot, ron! is this totally random as i would think they'd be chasing you for taking such a shot!
