Well Camouflaged by stray_shooter

Well Camouflaged

No photos taken today, so I'm having to resort to some taken earlier. This is from my butterfly shoot back in August, and I thought this was noteworthy because the butterfly's wings blended in with the flower so incredibly well.
This is quite and incredible find.....I don't know if this is a complete and utter coincidence with the butterfly matching the flower she has landed in, or if they are chameleon butterflies that assume the color of their environment!! Perfect match!

That hardly seems possible, Ron! You definitely needed to share this with us! That butterfly farm must have been wonderful! I've been to a few and would go again in a minute!

You did very well to notice such a well camouflaged little thing, butterflies are a challenge to capture at the best of times, lovely focus and detail Ron:)

@panthora I don't know if it was a chameleon type or not. I did notice that the yellow ones tended to hang around the yellow flowers, but the others didn't seem to be so color-obsessive. It did seem that the black ones favored the red flowers and the brown ones favored the pines. Sometimes it was hard to spot the yellow ones, though. Thanks for the feedback!

@Weezilou I will definitely plan on returning to Butterfly Wonderland when I'm in Scottsdale again. And I'll take the high speed lenses too!

@888rachel Thanks Rachel. You mean if I had not pointed it out, nobody would have spotted it, huh? ;-)

@pcoulson Thanks Peter. Actually not that hard to capture them at the butterfly exposition. More like a blind squirrel surrounded by thousands of acorns. Even I can capture a few in that environment!

@simta Спасибо Татьяна. Да, я выполнить небольшой кусочек обработки, но в целом это довольно много, как в плен.
