Screw City Skyline by stray_shooter

Screw City Skyline

I saw this idea on the Digital Camera World site and decided to give it a try. Spent a little more time in Photoshop than expected, but was happy with the result. My first submittal to the ETSOOI challenge, and trust me I did ETSOOI!
Too cool!

No worries about May. My email address is terryliv1@bigpond.com and we can further arrangements by e-mail. Don't think you follow Martin Jalkotzy @mjalkotzy from Calgary, Canada but he is also coming out in May. @888rachel

That is awesome!! I love it. There are two great photoshop things I use...Topaz Labs Remask and MPC Action for applying textures. The action is free but Topaz Labs is not. I purchased the entire Topaz package but I really only use remask. It's perfect for this type of editing. I have changed a number of backgrounds on my photos using it. This photo was taken on the seat of the school bus I drive...

Quite the surprise! Thanks so much for the kind comments and all of the favs. A good start to the new year, and a challenge to live up to for the remaining 364 postings!

@terryliv @888rachel @mjalkotzy @gilbertwood First to all, thanks so much for the comments and favs! More importantly, I do hope to see as many of you as possible when I make my way to Oz in May. I plan to rent a Harley and tour around some. Got some friends up in the Gladstone area to visit too. Two weeks of photo and bike adventures - what could be better? Thanks for the tip on Martin. Coincidentally, after my trip to Oz, I will be taking another motorcycle adventure up to the Banff area in July/August. I've got your email in the address book, Poppo, and will be in touch as things start to come together. Can't wait!

@k1w1 Great info, Christine! That's a very cool edit you did - thanks for the tip. I use Topaz Adjust sometimes, but it's the only one of the suite that I know and use. Might just have to check out the MPC action application. ;-)

@stray_shooter So will you make it down south on the Great Ocean Road? great for bikes :)
January 4th, 2016
Well well well! Just look at you as you enter the new year with a PP tucked under your arm! That's very clever and totally cool looking! I say you need to stick around! Did I hear you say two in a row and a PP to boot! You're Sizzling!

@gilbertwood The original plan was to stay more in the Queensland regions, but if I have the time, I might just have to hit the NSW area too. Your photos are pretty enticing!

@stray_shooter I'm down in Victoria - the bottom :)

Just noticed Terry's comment about the Antipodean bike trip, one thing to remember they ride on the left (correct side) of the road, easy to forget when starting off from the hotel or gas station on a bike, I've manage to get on the wrong side in the States and Europe I'm sure you will have a fantastic time helped in no some part by the warm and friendly people:) @terryliv

@pcoulson Sorry Peter. No one around here fits that description.
January 4th, 2016
@pcoulson Great point about the "other" side of the road Peter. Yes, I do OK in a car, but the bike is a whole different deal. I'm sure I'll mess up a few times before remembering which side of the road is the "correct" one. :-) Love your description of the planned trip. I believe I just might title the elsewhere discussed blog, the Antipodean Bike Trip. All credit to you, of course!
