During my summer absence from 365 I spent a bit of time visiting some wonderful places. Among those was beautiful St. Andrews, Scotland, the home of golf. Along the famous 17th hole of the Old Course, the Road Hole, lies the Jigger Inn, a famous watering hole where the winner of the Open Championship often takes the Claret Jug for a little celebration. It was just begging for a photo - and I was begging for a jigger of the area's amazing Scotch Whiskey.
Prize photo! Love the edit/texturing you've given it. I bet you have an amazing collection of pictures thanks to your summertime travels. I'm hoping you're planning on sharing lots of them here.
@lyndemc Thanks Denise, I do have a fair number of "vacation shots." I always cringe when someone wants to share those and pictures of their baby. I'm sure you'll be subjected to your fair share though.
@joysfocus Thanks Joy. I don't have as many as I had hoped for. My 24 - 300 zoom, the travel lens, was damaged, really limiting what I was able to shoot with the DSLR. I had the wide angle, but that was it for the "good" camera. Shot a few with the Android phone (which takes surprisingly good photos) and my little P&S. I had the lens repaired - for a fair chunk of change - so I guess I'll just have to return to complete the photographic intentions. ;-)
@pcoulson Thank you kindly Peter. Yes, we got to play several of the area courses, but missed out on the Old Course. What a great experience to play true links courses with so much history.
@terryliv Yeah, go figure. I take a doctored shot of a weed and it makes PP and TP. I guess we golfers and drinkers have a different view of things. ;-)
