A good stagecoach driver must communicate clearly with his horse team. This guy is evidently just confusing his team judging by the blank expressions on their faces.
My entry for the current macro challenge, which is toys. Probably not my last entry in this category (sorry Poppo!).
What I learned in taking this photo: In order to use the macro lens on the Sony I have to use a lens adapter (Nikon to Sony E-mount) which renders the aperture function in the camera useless. However, there is a crude f-stop ring on the adapter, and it becomes possible to manually alter the depth of field and preview the photo by altering the shutter speed, which turns out to be pretty handy!
Got to agree with your interpretation of the glazed look.. your selective focusing works a treat, very effective as is the PoV.
well done sorting out the ins/outs of the adaptor too.. it all sounds waaaay too technical for me..
@louannwarren You would be correct in your assessment that this is not truly a toy. I do believe they are china figurines. I guess I better be more careful in their handling! Thanks for stopping by and commenting. :-)
@jorlam Ah, shucks - thanks. Not all that technical as it sounds maybe. In simpler terms, I turned the knob and it got lighter and easier to focus. Better? ;-)
@cjphoto Thanks Chris. Funny thing about a camera sometimes, as you well know. Sometimes you don't notice things during the capture and they come out when you start to deal with the result. Such was the case with my horse team's faces. Thanks for stopping by.
@runner365 As I mentioned above, I hadn't really taken note of the faces on the horses until I was getting ready to post the photo. Funny how that works sometimes. Thanks for your time and comments sir!
