I Got Your Back by stray_shooter

I Got Your Back

I took this last week when I was shooting during the high surf advisory. This young lady was waiting for me as I was setting up, playing with my settings and focusing, saying she didn't want to mess up my shot. I waved her through, thanking her and assuring her that she wasn't messing up anything at all. I then proceeded to line up behind her, suspecting that I could capture a good silhouette....and was pretty pleased with the result.
OOoohhh -- this worked out well!

@imnorman Thanks Ian. I do feel lucky to be able to catch ocean sunsets here, but I also miss some of the spectacular sunsets that occur in Arizona. The dust in the air there makes for some unusually colorful sunsets. May have to catch some of those in April when I venture back over there.

@onewing Hi Babs. No, I kept my little sneaky shot to myself. We actually did get to talking later. Turns out she was visiting from Chicago, but it seemed awkward to get the shot into the conversation. We mostly talked about shooting with an iPhone, and she had gotten some very good captures.

@lyndemc She probably would, but I failed to get all of the details as she was visiting from Chicago. The photos that she got weren't bad at all!

@domenicododaro Thank you Dom, I'm starting to feel bad that I can't get to share the photo with her. Maybe some day.......

@gilbertwood Yeah, that seems like a very good idea, doesn't it? ;-)

Fabulous capture! I prefer to take captures of people when they're not aware of it. I like the more natural capture. Don't feel guilty.
