Caught the sun setting beyond the rocky shore off of Laguna Beach. At this time of year, the sun goes down right over Santa Catalina Island. The opportunity to catch it at that angle only exists for a few weeks each summer and winter, so when you get a good sky and a good tide you run out to catch it with your camera. Better on black.
@joannakate Thanks Joanna, and yes, there are for sure some seagulls hiding there in the rocks. I was wondering if anyone would notice them. You obviously inspected the photo closely!
Love this POV! Laguna is a favorite place of mine but I didn’t realize you could see the sun set right behind Catalina. Have to get out there at sunset.
