Happy Hour by stray_shooter

Happy Hour

My cousin and cousin-in-law (yeah, that's a thing) have several feeders for the local hummingbirds. They like to grab a cocktail or two at sunset - the birds, that is.....come to think of it, I guess the cousins do too! When you get a nice sunset with the little guys feeding, well, you just can't pass up the opportunity.
Too beautiful for words. This view and a cocktail? There couldn’t be anything better.

Such a brilliant sunset behind those gorgeous birds. I filled my hummingbird feeder a few days ago -- but no birds yet.

Fantastic image in so many ways Ron, as you said it was much to good to pass up, best to capture before the cocktails started taking effect:)

Love those colors! I'm getting thirsty already for Happy Hour! Well it is 9:15am. That means it's Mimosa time!

@redy4et Yeah, it’s not bad scenery at all. Probably gets boring after a while though. 🙄

@maggiemae Thanks Maggie - good to hear from you!

@Weezilou Getting better. I actually shot this while I was recovering at their home - they were good enough to house and care for me after the procedure. It was much appreciated!

@julie Thanks so much Julie. I do appreciate it.

@jyokota Thanks Junko. My feeder broke off the other day, but that didn't seem to bother my resident hummers. My former next door neighbor always got jealous because she had feeders all over the yard, yet they always choose my place to build their nests and raise their young. So check your neighbors' places. ;-)

@bkbinthecity Thanks Brian.

@pcoulson Thanks Peter. Sometimes I wonder if the photos might not improve just a little after a nip or two. At least that's my story. ;-)

@onewing Thanks Babs. Drinks all around!

@joysfocus That's what I like, your rationalization process is convincing.

@cjphoto Thanks Chris. Didn't have to think too hard about that title!

I am SO glad to read that! I wondered how you were accomplishing it and had concerns for you!

@joysfocus LOVE IT... by 2:30 this afternoon I's stopped drinking coffee, so I asked Ken for a Tequila Sunrise... I commend us for pacing ourselves!
