Check in

photo 373
I think this is an example of how a scene can offer a lot of potential, and yet I have completely failed to do anything decent with it. This is the only photo I took today of the check in area of Singapore's Changi airport, and it could have been so much more. Oh well. It is what it is, as I like to say.
It's the end of our fantastic holiday, and I will have a little break I think, before starting year 2.
See you soon.
Only marginally better viewed large :)

What's wrong with it??? I like the light and all the lines and reflections.

There is nothing wrong with this photo, I love the processing, the reflections and the amazing ceiling. Great capture. :) (come back soon, I will miss you).

i kind of like this... gives a wonderful sense of sheer size as well as a good look at the architecture and design... the processing, i think, really helps with this, as it mutes any potentially distracting elements...

I like this, but also know what you mean! I have felt like that so many times and it is quite frustrating.

This is a good shot Janelle, the expansive ceiling looks incredibly busy as opposed to the floor space being sparse of people.... which is odd for an airport. Lovely work :)

It does have potential, but tricky - I think you got a good shot to remember it by

I thought it looked familiar! Cool shot and processing! 8)

I know what you mean also - sometimes I have a vision in my head but it can not translate into a digital image no matter how hard I try. That being said, I like this image of yours, especially the ceiling details and your processing.

I actually love this, it's so in your face a busy. It has kept me looking for ages. Fav!

I think it's fantastic! I agree it's totally busy, but I think it's great as something is always pulling at you to look at this spot oh no wait over here look at that! I adore you processing and I think it's perfect.

This is just great..there's so much too see that you don't know where to look first and so different from other airports. great picture.

I think this is a great shot - futuristic and surreal. Love all the angles. Well done!

It sort of hypnotizes you with the wonderful light and patterns and reflections, with no real main subject. Interesting.

It's such an interesting shot, even though you may not think so... lots to see, and the colour is - yeah, like Frank said... hypnotic.
