Another long exposure shot to show movement for my Get Pushed Challenge, as set by @bruni.
I think I like this - or else it could just be a terribly shite photo, that makes it look like I have no idea how to use my camera :)
Three good things about today:
1. I had 50 minutes of kid free time tonight when the light was beautiful
2. I got ready for work this morning in a calm and civilized state, and even had 5 minutes to spare before I had to leave. No mad rushing around the house throwing things in my bag and shouting at the kids
3. I had my delicious cauliflower and bacon soup for lunch
@seanoneill Thanks Sean. You know when you try something a bit different and you post it and you think: Hmm I wonder if I am just completely off the mark? Or is it actually a little bit interesting? Thanks for the kind words. Did you get your cricket match application off? Cricket shmicket - who cares :)
@stuckinoz I know what you mean Janelle. Application in post thanks. Fo rme th etrick with thissort of photo is to have a well focussed reference point for the blur, and you have this in the guy and the railings. The composition is then quite brilliant IMHO of course. The red clothing also pops out so well from the high key background. SO, all in all I very much like this.In fact i'll hit the +F button.
3 things good about today.....
1. I got to see your photo
2. I always knew that we were not alone (and your photo proved it)
3. Everyone is in bed, so I have time alone to view all the wonderful 365 photos. Thanks Janelle. :)
Hi Janelle. I know I haven't commented on your first long exposure with a blur as I was not specific enough of what I had in mind. it was a nice long exposure with a motion blur and then when you sent in today's picture you just blew me away..it's fantastic..wow. what I actually had in mind was a long exposure with a the background blurred and a stationary focal point. I tried only one and I know it needs improvements. here is the link if you care to see it. http://365project.org/bruni/365/2012-09-06
I will definitely try one of yours with a motion blur.
well - i like it... but then, i lurve motion blur and that pop of red is fantastic... if it had been me, i prolly would have tried a crop that didn't put them dead centre - but that might not work depending on how much was in the frame to play with... regardless, i think this is too funky cool!
