Woad wall

Woad plants against an old brick wall in a medicinal herb garden. Woad leaves were used to produce an intense blue dye which ancient Britons used to colour their faces and bodies before going into battle
Love the contrasting colours in this half and half.

What an intense yellow, a perfect halfnhalf. I alwasys assumed woad casme from a blye plant too. Thanks for putting me straight
