everywhere i go to or turn my head i see poinsettia, lotsa reds. so to see an amaryllis in this colour and not the usual bright red or pink colours, is a bit of a reprieve. as a friend once asked me: why must you always be different? my reply: why not?
This is more subtle than the vivid reds and makes you seek it out but when you find it, it is so worth spending time studying all the details on. Nice discovery.
Beautiful. I have one that is growing. I have had it about a week and a half and it is only about 1 inch tall at the moment. I am thinking it is holding off for 2013.
Gorgeous flower and great shot. Different is good! Funny though my first thought in response to your friend's statement was "We're all different whether you know it or not!" It's the artist in you- and don't ever change it!!
