my lovely porcelain soup tureen sees a lot of love these days as partner likes to have a lot of soup during the cold spell. this thing holds a lot of soup, could serve four and if need be, six. i got this while i was in muscat, oman many years ago. the british lady who shared the flat with me went on vacation and didn't come back, she wrote to me saying i can have all her stuff if i wanted them. i only wanted the soup tureens (there were two) and the rest of her china and crystal i gave to a couple of filipina workers whose contracts had finished and they were going home. they were happy campers needless to say.
i have used this tureen so many times when i would invite friends over for dinner. beef burgundy looks enticingly delicious served on this dish.
household objects for the next seven days for the flash of red february challenge.
Lovely! I have an old one from my grandmother which I'm afraid to use. I have a feeling it's quite valuable- it even has a matching ladle. Beef Burgundy sounds wonderful!
@olivetreeann - well, your grandmother might get offended if you don't use it! :-) thank you, ann.
