water crowns and smoke come rather easy for me even though i don't have the proper lighting prescribed by the numerous tutorials - although i yet have to capture a perfect crown, but when i have more time, i will revisit this water crown thingie again. for this one, i placed a metallic gold wrapping paper and adjusted the exposure and contrast to get the "golden" tinge. as i did this in my kitchen sink, i had to crop out the drain. i like this one because it has its own reflection as well as a double drop inside the crown.
i'm behind in my posting and commenting (yet again!!) as we stayed overnight in london at my stepson's; ivy and jack were both very happy to have lola and granpa for a "sleep over". we watched a movie ("the croods") and both children and parents enjoyed it. stepson being a chef prepared an excellent meal and an even more excellent breakfast.
i shall catch up with all of your comments and albums as soon as i can. thank you for your kind views and comments and please know i appreciate everyone's visits.
@pandorasecho - the smoke you can definitely do with a p&s; the watercrown would take an incredible amount of patience. what i can't do are the fancy schmancy post processing. thank you, dixie.
