afternoon delight by summerfield

afternoon delight

i'm tired of my usual haunts. i must admit the last several days i'm just draggin' my butt to take photos. that damn mojo that's been attacking a lot of people here might have latched on to me, too, gardemmit! i know my limitations and capabilities and i feel i've reached my potential already. i will never be as good as most of you here but i know i'm not bad. but i won't dare tell partner or i'd get a constant nagging about all the money and time i've spent, blah, blah, blah!

so off to the parking lot next door and this is the best of the echinaceas against the afternoon sun.

tagging this for the brand new camera settings challenge which is 'natural bokeh'.

final 6 - camera settings challenge #30 (natural bokeh)
This is gorgeous!

Actually I think you've done a great job here! There's always something new to learn- it just has to spark your creativity or interest and then it takes off like wildfire. I think you just have to keep working through it. I had a blah week last week and part of this week. But I'm looking forward to the August challenge. Since I can't get a better camera just yet, I want to develop the artistic side of my photography and I'm really looking forward to reading the book. Anyway- I love this shot- the colors and pov and bokeh- so I'm giving it a fav to cheer you up!

From one sick mojo to another - just wait - the enthusiasm will come back! Its dragging its heels a bit here, might be a bit tired with all the goings on - emotional upheavels etc. Its like housework, its always there and sometimes you get round to it!

This is wonderful, you definitely have talent.

So sad to hear it's not just me :( But this is gorgeous and you nailed the challenge here...so may be the lack of mojo is not as bad as you think?

you never know where inspiration will come from. the idea for the collage i posted today came from a novel I was reading ~

very pretty shot, I really like how you have focused on the front coneflower and have the rest with nice blur

I would quite happily print this and hang it on my wall! Also a great example for the camera settings challenge.

I love the colours in these flowers. It's a really great photo, the bokeh, focus, all of it! I'm sure that feeling will soon pass and your interest will return with a vengeance!

this is gorgeous and don't worry about 'mojo' - as said, it comes and goes. and you are soooo, soooo talented in so very many areas, not just photography. relax, breathe deep, and don't worry.

I love this. It was an instant fav for me as coneflowers and bokeh are just great and you did a great job of getting them in this pic looking so gorgeous. I am sorry you are feeling underwhelmed with photography lately. I have moments of that....like "oh, I am tired. Why am I doing this all the time? Who cares?" But it is usually fleeting. We'd hate to lose you to a 'break" but sometimes a break is in order. Refresh, do other things, go other places...don't get on 365. I would hope you'd want to come back and you'd come back refreshed, It'd probably only take a fe days. But this thing can start to feel like a burden or boring at times...we have been doing it FOREVER.
