i love having my nails done, especially when i was younger. but what i can't stand is having my nails filed. yaiiiiiks! that really gives me the heebiejeebies! it feels like my teeth (and denture) are all going to fall off, and the cilia in my inner ears feel like they're growing out of control and will fill my ears and suffocate my brain. the manicurist will almost always just launch into a manic filing of my nails, and she does it whilst talking or nagging and i'd be screaming before she'd noticed that i'm dying. and even when i give her warning and specific instructions to file just one way and very slowly and very lightly, she'd forget and my teeth and ear drums go haywire! arrrgh!

You are not alone in nail filing giving the heebies! I dont like it very much and have only ever had a manicure twice because I cannot stand then fiddling with my fingernails! I sometimes have to use an emory board on a dog's nails and even that makes my hair stand on end! Love the colour of this emory board though and the shallow dof of the shot.
Think it might be how I feel about having my teeth cleaned. You can drill and fill them but cleaning them I can't stand. Well with the new methods it has gotten better. I think it sends little vibrations through your body.
I have never had my nails done. They'd probably scold me for what I do to my hands! Plus anything nice would probably be broken off within two days. Most of the time I just cut them. But filing them doesn't bother me. I don't know about having someone else do it though. That might feel weird. Good shot!
