i'm sure none of you young people remember "pacman". i never played the game as when these digital games started, i only wanted to play donkey-kong.
one day, the first mr. summerfield arrived from one of his business trips and brought my son a game boy. he loved it, but my three youngest siblings loved it, too, and he got frustrated that he only had a limited time with his own toy. enough already, he snatched it from my brother and declared that it's his and he would play with it until he's done with it and that's the only time anyone else could use it. mr. summerfield witnessed this outburst, told the young boy off and the young boy marched away in a sour mood. good thing the first mr. summerfield was set off for another round of business trip for a few days in singapore and when he came back, he brought six game boys, one for each person in the household including me. but they were of different games but the one i got had pacman on it which i hated. but everyone wanted to play with it so we were back to square one. on his next trip abroad, i told the first mr. summerfield that he was not to buy anymore game boys and that presents should be only for me.
these are not giant pistaches. i just used the raynox macro filter because this is for the 52-week challenge. this week's technical assignment is macro.

my naturopath doctor tells me to eat a lot of nuts. five servings consisting of at least 5 or six nuts, more if it is raw nuts, throughout the day. of course i can't abide by that. because nuts, when you start eating it, you don't stop at five or six. you eat all 5 lbs at one time, unconsciously. so this is my five-a-day offering for the weekly theme.
Big smile -- great link to pac-man (which I played on a large computer while in grad school in the late 1970s!). And a fun composition with the nuts. Very very clever and great title.
you have such wonderful stories and links to your photos - I love to read. I do recognise the pacman imitating nut, even though I never played. It is a great macro - although I do like the idea of giant sized pistachio.
Nice narrative my friend brought back memories I like PM and DK but my favourite was and is Tetras. I didn't have a game-boy but owned the consoles and played and played and played some more. I'm a certified gamer and nerd even today.
