and pearls are always appropriate. just ask jackie kennedy (no, don't; she's gone resting in peace now. just trust me, she knew that!)
i have lots of pearl necklaces -- faux, mother of pearls, cultured, and a string of tiny real ones. strange enough, the real one is for my everyday (or almost everyday) use. it was a gift from the first mr. summerfield (almost forty years ago) because he knew i loved pearls more than diamond. when i turned sixty six years ago i decided i shall wear my pearl necklace everyday until i very well die. why, i should leave a clause in my power of attorney that even when i am incapacitated and out of my mind, my pearl necklace should stay around my neck.
for week 11 of the 52-week challenge. this week in composition we are required to fill the frame. if you're trying to figure out where the real one is in this photo, it's not there; i'm wearing it.
now i'm off to find my indigo for today's rainbow thingie.
what a collection you have. I'm not one for keeping things for best at all. If I like them, I want to use or wear them as much as possible. So you go girl, with your pearls. I knew these were yours as soon as I saw it.
Lol - what a decision and what a way to go! In style! You would love a company that we have over here - "Pearls for Girls" - every imaginable type, shape and colour of pearls. Your lovely, lustrous pearls have made a lovely image. :)
Well done!
