the afternoon sky held so much promise for a beautiful sunset. i rushed to the terminal and took the ferry to the islands; walked down to the western most part of the islands where i watched the air show last year, near the 'clothing optional beach; sat on a picnic table and set up my gears.
in the end there was no spectacular sunset that i had hoped for, you know, the dramatic sunset that render the sky a kaleidoscope of rich red and awesome purple colours. the golden sunset was still beautiful and its reflection on the lake is still one of life's little miracles. i had borrowed my friend devi's coat because i thought it might be cool by the water but i only wore it after the sun had sank in that western skyline.
i didn't get home until eleven tonight so this is a quick upload and off to bed i go. debating whether i should still eat dinner or forget it altogether.
