it was -3 celcius this afternoon when i decided i'd go out and take a few photos. i specifically avoided going near the lake as it was quite cold so i went to the football field to take a shot of the skyline. as soon as i took out my camera i realized some things were up against me. first, i didn't bring a tripod. second, i didn't bring my glasses. i didn't wear my earmuffs and the wind was really blowing in my ears.
by the time i gave up, my fingers were painful from being cold and i was shivering. it wasn't like i wasn't dressed for the temperature. i had a thick vest underneath my thick winter coat. i wore two thick pants.
so i decided i hate the cold. i'm moving to arizona!
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are greatly appreciated.
I got snowed on the other day when out shooting. Wonderfully framed skyline. Cold gets old, but so does hot. Winter has come early and we weren't ready or adjusted. It will get easier as the blood thickens.
Would you like us to stop for you on our way to CA? Understand, I'm not once going to complain about the cold...we stayed for the experience... It does change the number of photos one can take per outing...
I'm with you when it comes to the cold, I much prefer the heat! I'm unhappy when our temperature drops into single figures and we very seldom get anything that goes below zero! I really like how you've used the tree to frame the skyline.
I like how you framed the CN tower with the branches. What a wimp, -3. It was -10.5° C yesterday when I laid down to get my frost & bokeh shot. But, it wasn't very windy, I know that can make a huge difference. :o)
I think you should move to Alabama! Almost never snow and temperatures in the -degree C are very rare! Besides there is that gloriously big sewer! ;~} However we do NOT have a skyline this beautiful! I love how it is composed through the trees!
love all the shades of grey and brave you for stepping a foot outside
