don't ask what the purpose of this post is other than i have to post a perfume bottle photo. the problem though is i'm away from home and there's no perfume bottle to be photographed. it would've helped perhaps if i had brought one of the bottles on loan to me but no such luck - i forgot! i suppose i could wait until tomorrow to fill in the gap but i was left alone this morning while partner went to the casino. so what to do?
after i've greeted everyone a merry Christmas, i thought i'd do the jason daniels thing - hotel selfies! i tried to do the "stand on bed and hold ceiling" pose. looked easy. there was just one problem - i'm too short to touch the ceiling! :-D in my frustration and after about twenty attempts, i just altogether abandoned the idea and made faces and poses before the camera. this would have been more engaging had i worn one of those spiderman or superman costumes. i kind of like this though so i had this brilliant idea to substitute the painting on the wall with an old unposted perfume bottle. really sloppy job but i need to go to bed pretty much right now as apparently we need to go real early to the outlet mall. i don't know if that's a good idea because i hate crowds and jostling with people in their morning breaths just to get a couple of discounted jones new york blouse is not my idea of shopping.
i hope you all had a merry Christmas. we were supposed to have a fancy dinner, but i was lazy to dress up in my finery so partner had to call the restaurant to cancel.
the perfume is "far away" and i think it is avon's.
then it occured to me that this week's five plus two theme is 'bad habit' and i do like to jump on the bed, especially when the grandkids are around. and that's one of my bad habits (aside from eating a lot!).
thank you for your kind views and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
hahahaah oh Vikki you make me laugh
I received two lovely perfumes for Christmas from my daughters - one of them I have not been able to get for a while :)
You're so funny Vikki! Love the shot and all that you went through to get it. Thank you for your kind wishes this Christmas. I hope that had a very Merry Christmas and enjoy the rest of your trip.
I LOVE this! it is so creative - I recognize the bottle I think it is Avon although I never owned it or even know the scent. I LOVE your perfume bottle series!
This is just brilliant! You look like you are having the time of your life. I cannot jump on the bed as the furries get too excited and it results in mayhem!
Boy do I wish I could jump on the bed! I don't think I could even climb on it. This is such a fun shot!!!! I love your craziness. And it's Avon "Far Away" fyi. Former Avon representative- but I had to look the name up as it's been a long time since I sold it!!
You could go to a restaurant for Christmas dinner and didn't want to get DRESSED?! i had to cook our dinner and would have gladly just dressed for my meal instead of preparing it! Next time tell your partner to come get me ! I will get dressed and go with him!
LOVE the shot ! you have such a playful spirit and clever way of fulfilling the daily requirement!
So so so much fun to see the shot and read your commentary. MUCH better than a perfume bottle would have been. I'm impressed with your jumping and charging skills/posture!
OK, first you are amazing.....second, the minute I saw the thumbnail of the photo I thought you were trying bowling with that perfume bottle....sure looked like you were throwing it! The lengths we go to for these shots!!! BTW, whether you were at the casino or the hotel there had to have been a gift shop there, and I am sure you could have found a perfume bottle (they cater to such necessities in case someone wins at the crap tables and needs to bring something back to the wife or mistress!!).....but, so much more fun to jump on the bed and make faces!! :-))))
You do not have to post a perfume bottle, You are traveling, there should be several opportunities for you, but I like this one anyway. Looks like you are practicing your Ninja Moves.
@summerfield - Bravo! Hotel beds are the best for jumping on... except those with ceiling fans. Love it! Great shot and I remember when you were shy in front of the lens?
