perched

it was a very nice day today. i wore a light coat and summer shoes. i got treated to a nice breakfast and was driven to the beaches. we had a nice walk on the trail. and i was enjoying the whole thing when director james cameron decided he would play director yet again. come here...right here...this way...that way...shoot from here. i saw something that looked interesting but director said it has no artistic merit! whatsoever! so i handed him the camera - why don't you take your own pic. he walked away. obviously pissed. i saw this tree on the edge of the shore and i started to shoot. suddenly, he appeared in the frame and proceeded to sit on the horizontal trunk. still sulking. well, thanks.

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
Your director obviously has no tact! Not with a stroppy and excellent photographer like Ms Summerfield! Great place to sit for this picture - not a good place to land if her overbalanced!

Super composition. It worked out well for you that he had a hissy fit and stomped off!

@barneyone - he doesn't want to try; says he's too old to learn photography. thank you, rita.

My "director" is more interested in telling me how to make money with this hobby. I have ideas- but not the same as his! Well, you were able to turn this into a nice shot! It makes me think of that song about sitting on a dock and watching time go by. Nice! (And the back story makes it even better!)

@olivetreeann - oh, believe me, the money aspect is in there, too! what he wants me to shoot is 'that's what sells, honey!' thank you, ann.

Yes, he obviously wants you to get that "money shot"!! Artistic merit be damned, just what pleases the crowds and sells to the masses! My "artistic director" is more of a chauffer and a location scout, but leaves the end product to me! Actually, he knows better than to stick around because he gets yelled at....a lot!! Something about "a very short window where the light is just perfect, and I am not going to talk to you right now" attitude on my part! I end up apologizing when it is all over....:-((
