can't resist that sliver of a moon, waxing and ready to set. the blue hour is the perfect setting for it. i love this time of day when the sky is at its deepest blue and the horizon a gorgeous gold and red. it's what poets write about. it's what lovers promise to each other.
tonight is the nearest thing i could get to photographing a plane as it crosses the moon. only my shot was not in focus. it looked like the airplane got stuck in it. but i figure on the left, beyond is the international airport and airplanes fly by this view all the time. it's a combination of timing and luck, and preparedness. one day. one day i will. meanwhile, you enjoy this view.
I tried to capture the moon sliver as well, but failed miserably!
