the monument to multiculturalism

the union station's façade is now mostly completed. the clock has been added right in front of the monument. i took the shot from across the street and purposely centered the clock's finial top to hide the statue's public part (it's on show so it's not private, you understand, non?). the monument had been featured in my album in the beginning of my project i'm pretty sure, although am not sure about the clock. what i like about this clock is that it features the letters of "union station" instead of the numbers 1 to 12. i find that cool. you know of course that it takes very little to amuse me.

if you are so inclined, here's a link to some information on the monument. http://spacing.ca/toronto/2009/03/20/monument-to-multiculturalism/

thank you for your kind visits, comments and your generous favs; they are all greatly appreciated.

Fun twist on the numbers/letters and nicely "censored" so to speak! I like the documentary style black and white. It works really well for this subject.

Wonderful B&W.

A fabulous shot, well hidden parts, and a great looking clock. I might not have noticed the missing numerals had you not mentioned it.

I love the clock, although I’d probably never have been as tasteful with this subject as you have, in fact I just might have focused on the part you obscured

@pandorasecho - as a matter of fact, the finial of the clock is an exaggeration. as i told leslie above, there wasn't much to cover anyway. :-D i think since it's supposed to represent all peoples of the world, they had to average it out! :-D

Your narrative made me smile about his "public " part and your comment that it takes very little to amuse you. I like your photo and I am very impressed with how you composed it
