the fallen by summerfield

the fallen

this lily flower was just a bud when it fell off its stem. i left it in a small dish of water to see if it would bloom and it did. this, along with another fallen lily, was in yesterday's 'zen' photo if you recall.

i was debating whether i should convert it to black and white for the flora black and white theme, but i like the baby pink colour plus we'll soon be doing the flash of red february so i'll do colour until the month ends.

thank you, kind folks, for your kind visits and comments as well as your very generous favs over the last few days; as always they are genuinely and greatly appreciated.
Lovely pastel shades lit up from within.

Simple, elegant and so beautiful. I think it might be quite dramatic in black and white but I agree that the soft pink tones are just lovely.

I’m so glad you honored the lovely blush pink of this lily instead of taking it to black and white. It is exquisite just like it is!

This is wonderful in color. Interesting that it continued to open in the water. I would not have thought to do that.

Lovely- yes, it would look great in black and white, but that soft pink deserves to be seen!
