this may look like a mirrored image but it is not. this is the domed ceiling at the concourse of brookfield place, right above yesterday's fountain. the light is from the fountain below.
shot without looking - i was right on the edge of the fountain's ledge, leaning precariously towards the centre (which was rather brave of me, considering my balance shows my age) and hoping i don't slip and fall on the water (and make a fool of myself - a wet fool!) or worse drop the camera in the centre of the fountain (where i would not be able to reach). in fact, i was promptly asked to get my ass off the ledge, well not those words exactly but a polite "madam, please, no standing on the ledge" kind of thing.
as i am late this evening and have not taken a photo - inside busy with work (or at least that's how it looked to people) and outside it was snowing like the end of the world and slippery as hell - a need to dip in the very recent archive is a more sensible option.
i should be able get away from lines for the weekend.
Very pretty lines. It is snowy and slippery and you are on the fountain ledge? Oh my. You are one brave soul. You could also tag this for the swol if it is still going. I can't keep up with all the challenges. I really like this.
I recognise that feeling. Only this morning as I was walking along the rivers edge wondering just how far I was off slipping into the water - and whether I would be able to save my camera from going in. It is a constant fear. Glad you got your shot before being asked to move. You were well on target for the symmetry of the two halves. Plenty of lines to be found in Brookfield place!
