there was a time when the "fashionistas" would poo-pooh a combination like this, be it women's fashion or home decor - they just don't go together. horrors if you combine paisley prints with another floral print or geometric prints! these days, however, i see in high end department stores, i see this kind of combination more and more, and even in women's fashion. does that mean we are being too liberal; or the new trendsetters just have extremely addled brains?
in any case, you won't catch me alive wearing a combination akin to this. but i must admit that in the 1970's it didn't take much for me to succumb to wearing silk blouse and levi's jeans, with pearl chokers and stiletto shoes.
still not wearing this combination.
we had an assault of high winds and in some places people have no power. i couldn't post last night because, although we did have power, there was a sporadic blinking (for lack of a more correct term) of power which i didn't think was good for the laptop. ultimately the connection went wobbly and i just had to call it a night. we're still having the same problem, but i thought i'd sneak this in.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are greatly appreciated.
I would never wear this combination either. But the silk blouse with jeans and stilettos is okay, except that I might fall off the stilettos at my age now. But a nice 2 inch pump still works.
sorry to hear about your power issues - you seem to suffer in this department. I have always been curious about the comings and goings of fashions and what works and what doesn't. There seem to be no constant reference points. I wouldn't be happy with this combination myself. Certainly not the stiletto heels either (I fall over myself even in flats).
Glad to hear you didn’t lose power completely... we were out for about 10 hours... oh well... I really needed to clean out the fridge anyway!
