walked a long ways during lunchtime which i regretted much afterwards as i was already halfway through when i realized i didn't change to my walking shoes. i walked underground and passed through the basement of one of the big department stores in toronto, the hudson's bay. the basement is one big gourmet store, and household necessities. i was attracted to this large wall of a painting of clusters of golden grapes.
i fished out my camera from my purse but a security guy promptly appeared and asked me to put my camera away. so i did. but i took out my iPhone and used the camera function to take several shots around the store. he was watching me and i was waiting for him to stop me. he didn't. isn't that just plain stupidity?
never mind then. i got a shot for today, n'est-ce pas?
thank you for your kind visits and comments, as well as your generous fav's. much appreciated, folks!
Oh dear - I'm reading about the trouble people are getting into for their commitment to the theme. All this walking - are you still using that fitbit? The golden grapes work a treat for the half and half shot.
I agree to the stupidity of not being able to use your camera. I’m waiting for someone to tell me that I can’t use mine and then I’m going to tell them that no one can use their phones either. Just let them try and take it away from me!
I like the image, and interesting story. How could you be allowed to use your phone camera but not your other camera?! Doesn't make sense to me either. Since starting the May half challenge and acquiring my husbands hand-me-down iPhone, I've started photographing in public places with the phone instead of DSLR. I feel less self-conscious and its much easier to get away with it. We were in McDonalds recently and nearly everyone we could see was doing something on their phone. @grammyn I agree, I might try this too, haha.
