i went to my dentist today after lunch. a block from the dental office, there was a perfume "outlet". since i was half an hour early, i put on a mask and went in to check if they had any ralph lauren eau de cologne. they had a big display of mini perfume. apparently the mini's are making a comeback so big name parfums are getting in on the craze. there are so many perfumes in the market and their main selling point is either the name or the intricate design of the bottles. you remember that four years ago, as a project, i photographed 31 perfume bottles that i borrowed from some friends or bought them at the antique markets. it was then i found a couple of mini's and i thought i'd like to collect them.
so today, i added two. set my retirement funds by $31 dollars. they're real perfume, although this thing here doesn't have a box and i can't read what's underneath it as it is really tiny. this is about an inch and three quarters tall. next to the miniature frame this looks real small but how i positioned them in this shot made both looking like the regular-sized things.
So beautiful, Vikki! Your lighting is wonderful. I look at all of my colognes and perfumes, each one is at least half full, such a waste. I need to investigate the minis!
Such a pretty mini bottle. I do see why you were enticed to buy it. Beautiful composition. I knew it was your photo the minute I saw the thumbnail. Such great detail.
A FAV!
