entry for week #1 of the 52 weeks photography challenge 2019. the category is story telling and the assignment is a faceless self-portrait but which tells something about me.
let's see if this photo is effective: what does this tell about me? there is no right or wrong answer, but tread carefully. :-P
new year, new projects to challenge ourselves. i'm still undecided whether or not i shall undertake a new project this year. but i should make up my mind pretty soon as the first week is wearing away fast.
aside from the 52 weeks challenge, i will also participate, but only occasionally (as in "if and when" i'm running out of ideas), in the 52 portraits of me challenge. the prompt for the first week is beginnings. see below for the pertinent links to the challenges.
Let's see... you like chocolate (me too!), you're a photographer (of course), you believe in the after life (me too), you speak French (I wish), interested in the written word and history (not me), not sure what the Godiva thing is... how did I do?
You like coffee and chocolate. Your a bit messy (creative people often are) . Your learning french? And your feeling a little mortal... If you send me the earphones I will untangle them for you!
I like this take on the challenge, the things we have near us do tell us a lot about us.
I didn't read I had to be in the selfie, from the previous iterations I've come across. (If I carried a proper handbag, one of the Lisa Milroy paintings I can't find now showed bag and contents.)
Oh yes! This shows your diversity...French, if course. Chicolste, definitely, perfect grammar. Certainly necessary in your job and life, a great photographer with your camera always handy, very creative as shown in this srlfue.
I admire you ! My project is more a diary of my daily life that i like to look at from time to time to remember good moments, only that ones....but as i said i admire you to have the discipline to force yourself to follow some directives..bravo, you have my admiration!
so about your photo i could say that :
-you love reading, chocolates, photography , you speak french (I already knew) and want to improve it (bon courage et si tu souhaites écrire en français avec moi pour pratiquer un peu je ny verrai aucun inconvenient ...)
And about the book about a life after death i don't think you are anxious because you seem to be a strong woman, but may be just curiosity.... ?
I think it's a fantastic representation of the challenge....and enhance that much more my the fact that it's my photo that you have up on the computer!!
@stray_shooter - hahaha! i didn't notice the photo until the next morning and i was scratching my head trying to remember whose it was. i remember typing my comment, then realized that i needed to take a photo rather quickly and that was it. i see now that i forgot to hit "post comment" on your photo. sorry about the non-comment but not apologizing for pirating your photo. :-D

(As you can see - my French is appalling and requires a ton of work!)
Well done!
