still playing with shadows. you will remember this little sewing machine from a few years ago. it's collecting dust on the book shelf so i thought i better make use of it. most of my shots were , well, SHOT! but i like this one because of the incomplete shadow. i could've channeled my inner northster to have made it looking far more artistic, but i forgot. maybe it's time we do a photo outing.
So….I’m thinking you might need those thimbles back?! A very cute machine. I learned how to sew on a treadle machine. I think your image is magnificent and you do not need the northster for artistic reasons you do perfectly fine on your own. Not to Play down her creative genius either
@grammyn - i found more thimbles among my stuff. i am definitely going to hell for having so much stuff - a dozen more decorative thimbles, and i found my own sewing thimbles, three of them would you believe? and this morning, in search of something pink in my wardrobe for today's "day of pink" event, i found an array of pink pashmina scarves in different shades of pink - baby pink, pale pink, fuschia pink, raspberry pink, strawberry pink, variegated pink, i almost gagged. obviously there was a time, which i can't remember anymore, when i was into pink stuff which explains the pink bedskirt and pink coverlet in my linen closet. for someone who grew up with nothing, i have so much stuff the devil would be shamed!
I agree with Katy! Northy is an amazing photographer but you have your own brand of creativity too! Thanks for putting one in for the black and white challenge- it was handed to me without a vote. Something I'm a little uncomfortable with- but it was not my decision to make! Anyhoo...this is a delightfully mysterious new to old shot!
