at church, we partake of coffee and tea with cookies and pastries the purpose of which is to socialize with the other members of the congregation. sometimes, someone would bring brownies and other baked goods, and like this morning, it being asian heritage month, one of the members who is a first generation canadian of chinese descent, brought some traditional chinese cookies.
since there are just a few chairs and tables set up, i normally would sit on the radiator whilst i take my tea, before i actually socialize. turning to look outside this was my view, and i thought it would make for a nice half and half. the one problem is that the window pane has wired glass and that is the vertical and horizontal shadows visible on the brick side.
wow! i just saw a jetplane pass across the moon as i'm typing this. and below are firewoks in the distant horizon, it being victoria day weekend. and i'm not taking a photo. sometimes, you just have to enjoy the moment.
seems to me you have a good place to sit with your tea, the sun warming you through the window. Very bright and cheerful. And glad you enjoyed the scene at your own window later on - sounds pretty special.
Enjoy your weekend
