the strange light above

do you know why i only have 3 light painting photos in more than 4,000 posts? yes, you guessed it right: i suck at it big time!

light painting is my waterloo, my kryptonite. why? because did i say i suck at it big time? look at that -- i can't even draw a proper infinity sign. gheez!

there was a series of fireworks at the manor in front of my building and i thought i'd take photos and deliberately move the camera so i can claim it as my light painting gone wrong. but then again, it wouldn't have been light painting but ICM. it's pathetic, really!

so, i will head on now to look at your spectacular light painting photos and make myself green with envy

I actually like this a lot. Your line is very elegant and I love the blur and the bokeh, and that you combined a cold, with the warm lights.

I had a light painting shot all worked out in my head, but it was too cold and miserable to go out and try it. Maybe another night :))

Well I am sure you will have found mine an encouragement , so I am glad it could have served some sort of purpose. It didn't even occur to me to integrate other elements into the scene like you have done here. You got some great bokeh and a bow that is just coming a little bit untied, that's all.

There's a chance that you have a hard time getting a place to do light painting. Seems it really needs dark and you live in a city that's probably never dark.
