the sunflower song i know is the theme from the sophia loren movie back in 1970 but the song with lyrics is actually titled "loss of love"; it's a beautiful melody. have a listen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOFp2zV5DCg

in any case, it was still hot but not as uncomfortable as last weekend. i managed to go to the market and had my lunch there and saw the flowers were cheap so i bought these as they are more hardy than the usual bouquet. i still might manage to get the reception flowers on friday though. so might as well put these into good use.
