in my last foray at costco in december, i got a product called "tempura nests" from the frozen food section. for $10, there are 40 good-sized (about three inches in diameter) vegetable tempura with a shrimp on top. even a glutton like me could not eat more than four pieces so i think it was a good buy. you put the nests in the oven for about ten to fourteen minutes and they're ready. they also come with the tempura sauce. i had it for lunch today with some steamed rice. i would've taken a photo but i was so hungry i forgot. and all i have to show for it were the implements i used. 😜 and i even have a photo to post.
hopefully tomorrow i will have some outside photos as i am scheduled to work at the office in the morning.
@louannwarren - i had a slew of blue and white stuff plus an 8-place setting of delft china that i gave away because i wasn't using them, and the display ones just collect dusts anyway. thanks, law.
Love this still life with it's Asian flare, right down to the bamboo sushi mat. Having lived in Japan for so long, I obviously have many typical bowls and cups.
Nicely done--"aces"!
