toronto island and lake ontario

this is the view from our office of how the island and the lake looked like today. note the icy waters between the islands and downtown toronto. the colour is like this because this was shot from inside our office, the "gold" building in toronto (word has it that the entire glass panels on those two office towers are layered with 24 karat gold sheets) and that is why the colour of this photograph is greenish tint. this picture wasn't edited at all.
lmao - i almost posted the same photo!

@fanined - i laughed when i saw your posting, i think we were doing so at almost exactly the same time. i don't get that view from my vantage on 35th anyway.
@papuj - because people here are sinfully ostentatious!

What a wonderful picture.. it looks so freakin' COLD... I love the water..I LOVE the water...you're making me realize how much I miss Maine and it's coasts and WATER...

@celticmystyc - that there is really cold. yes, as in friggin' cold! this is lake water though, not like the water you'd have there on the east coast of maine which is part of the atlantic ocean.

@summerfield You're so right about that... it's interesting to see how the Atlantic "freezes" and how lake waters freeze. The textures and hue are so different yet the same.
