i posted a photo of this view on day 39 when it was all icy and gloomy from the winter cold. this is how it looks now. you will see a small tanker coming in from the lake proper and there is an even larger tanker docked on the left.
the photo has this strange colour because the windows of our office building apparently are covered with 24 karat gold sheets. but i assure you the waters are very blue especially when there is bright sunshine.
one of these days i will take my lunchbox and take a ferry to the islands just to liven up my lunchtime. yes, one of those boats from yesterday's picture would be nice to have even just for the lunch hour.
@patticake - you used to go to sea for a living?!? that is awesome! can i ask what it was you did? that must be exciting! @ilseal - miss ilse, if you find your way here in toronto anytime, let me know and i'll show you around! :-)
