and this is what i come home to... by summerfield

and this is what i come home to...

on the drive from niagara falls to toronto, we passed by burlington and we stopped by the lakeside to take in this view. several flocks of geese were in attendance and i had a rather fun time dodging to step on bird doodies. after several kilometers of brown and dried trees and bushes, it was comforting to see green grass and colourful leaves. i guess winter hasn't really forced its way in...yet.

i'm back folks and have started to do the rounds of your postings, albeit slowly, during the three weeks that i was away. please don't get mad if i haven't gotten to your albums yet. right now, i keep on dozing off and my fingers would press on a key and i get woken up by the laptop's screeching sounds. please be assured i will eventually get there, but i promise before the advent is over or barring a thermo-nuclear explosion.
Wow. I can't believe that you have green grass. Enjoy it while you can. Welcome back to Canada. Nice photo.

We haven't gotten any winter yet either, a bit of cold but no snow yet! Nice shot! Did you enjoy your trip?

@pamfromcalgary - thank you, pam. it just occurs to me that perhaps that is one of those fake grasses? but it looked so real though.

@sanera - thank you, samantha. and yes, i did enjoy the trip, and perhaps too much!

Lovely scene down at our lake populated by masses of Egyptian geese they build a public access basketball court it was great until the geese decided this was the ultimate pooping ground.

@bkbinthecity - thanks.

@steeler - it's worse when they decide your property is better than public ones. that happens around here and if you ever do anything, the animal rights activists would make your life hell. thank you, howard.

Well, what you came home to isn't so bad weather-wise. Still some green there. Beautiful pov here, summerfield. You must be so tired . . jet-lag and all. Take it easy and enjoy the coming holidays. :)

@danig - yes, for some reasons, despite all the geese, they were all quiet. the noise came from the stupid drivers who were tooting at each other. thank you muchly, DG.

@karenann - thank you so much, karenann. actually am not so tired...yet. i slept well last night. my worry is work tomorrow. i hope to get another good night's sleep tonight so i don't snore as much at the office :-)

happy to have you back! thanks so much for all the wonderful comments! i enjoyed seeing your holiday pics but it's nice to see To again too. hope you ease back into the swing of things at the office as smoothly as possible.

Glad to see you're getting back into the swing of things. They say that for every hour you're jet lagged, you'll need a day to catch up- so hang in there!
December 5th, 2011
@sunnygreenwood - slowly getting in there, anne. and thank you, too!

@olivetreeann - i'm caught up on sleep i think and yesterday and today i didn't even feel sleepy. people told me i look so relaxed. when i start to do real work, i suppose, that's when the jet lag would kick in! thank you, ann.
