@olivetreeann suggested in my december 26 post to crop out the building on the left of the kiosk to make the kiosk more noticeable. so i did a crop using the laptop's paint program and it did make the kiosk stand out more. i don't know if you can see the shabby job i did on the crop but i'm learning. thank you, ann. this one's for you.
so, if anyone asks what happened to the building, it's not my fault. it's ann's! :-)
I am honored that you gave such weight to my opinion! Looks great Vikki! I'm glad you're pleased with the results. The Falls really are so majestic, aren't they?
well the editing is great, the colours definitely pop a lot more in this one. However (and its only a little however) I'm not a fan of cropping out things that are in the shot. Maybe cos I can't do it. Maybe I'm just pedantic. I dunno. But I like this shot a lot!! So, maybe its all fine.
@danig - i hear you, friend. in the same way i'm not really crazy about processing what is already a good shot, as most people here are wont to do. but got to try and do it sometimes, and by principle, in the manner that should only enhance the subject. in this case, the essence of the original photo still remains even with the crop, methinks.
@olivetreeann - i love those falls! they look different and yet the same every time i see them. thank you, ann.
@catsmeowb - yes, i adjusted the tone a little bit. thank you, camille.
@steeler - i tried it that way, too. thank you, howard.
@sunnygreenwood - thank you, anne. much appreciated.
