wild animal by summerfield

wild animal

caught this bird during my walkabout at the lake. i don't know what it is and i'm hoping our bird experts might be able to identify this. i've seen enough starling that i don't think this is a starling. so would appreciate very much if you can tell me.

wild animal. where does one look for a wild animal unless one goes in the wild or to the zoo. for the purposes of the leap year bucket list, i am categorizing this bird as a wild animal (or bird) because it's not anyone's pet (i hope. eddy (@eddyj), is this yours? :-)) plus i want to get it out of the way, plus i have this photo of a bird, a clear one at that, so methinks it merits getting posted.

p.s.: it is an adult starling. thank you.

I think it is a starling - just after a bath by the look of things. Nice sharp capture of him.

I was reading your commentary and thinking, "It sure looks like a starling to me" and then saw your p.s. These guys are really pesky and a nuisance. But this is a good shot anyway!
