Hiding

The past couple of days have been snow days - the school buses didn't run, some flights were cancelled or delayed, etc but the bad weather hasn't kept the wild turkeys off the road! I carefully followed a couple of them as they sauntered along and they hopped the fence as I pulled up beside them. They're just a meter or two past the fence but you'll be hard pressed to spot them! Check near the centre of the pic, slightly to the right.

Many thanks for dropping by!
Wow looks like that snow is really coming down! Beautiful wintery scene.

You've captured a real sense of the blizzard.

Awesome photo of an old wire fence....just a little snow can change the whole composition and take it from drag to beautiuful.

Sounds like you are really getting bombarded with snow. This is a beautiful capture of it. I think I see one of the turkeys' tail.

January 13th, 2012
I think you're pulling my leg - I can't see any! Lovely snow scene!
January 13th, 2012
That's a good one, Anne. We have wild turkeys too and I was sure I could spot them in your picture. Not. They surely are well hidden! Your picture could have been taken in my yard. Nice!
January 13th, 2012
Yay - snow! And watch out for those temps tomorrow - just a little chilly at -8C! I'm driving to Barrie (more house hunting) so will make sure I put on my gloves this time! ;-)
January 13th, 2012
Pretty well camouflaged-- I can't find them. Stay warm!
January 13th, 2012
I can barely see them!
. Nice winter shot.
January 13th, 2012
I see them (or at least one of them!). Great catch, Anne. We had fifty degrees yesterday and got the snow last night. Big change . . but kind of pretty too! Love your composition here!
January 14th, 2012
Looks beautiful but cold! (I can't see them~)
January 14th, 2012
They have some nice cover.,
January 14th, 2012
Nice snowy scene. How lucky for the wild turkeys they are so well camouflaged!
January 14th, 2012
Wow! The snow is beautiful but it looks so cold. The wild turkey around here aren't very shy. They probably wouldn't have hid. Some parts of my state got snow but not in Chattanooga.
January 14th, 2012
So well camouflaged. Nicely composed winter scene.
January 14th, 2012
Looks so cold!!! Lovely!!!

January 14th, 2012
We only got a light dusting of snow. I would love to see this much!
January 14th, 2012
well, my eyes are bad and the glasses are in another room. but love this shot. the wire fence first got my attention, it enhances the scene and the snow is great. great shot, anne. i like it with or without the turkeys.
January 14th, 2012
I can't see them, Anne but I love this snow shot. We miss the snow in Malta but not the cold.
January 14th, 2012
I think I see him! Nice capture of the snow too :)
January 14th, 2012
Gorgeous wintery scene, sadly we had no snow on our 3 week visit to Scotland so I am enjoying seeing snow on 365!
January 14th, 2012
Gosh that's a lovely picture but it sure does make you feel cold
January 14th, 2012
Couldn't spot the turkeys but I loved the shot. WOW!!! Amazing they would want to be in all that snow. Do you have polar bears in your area or is that further north?
January 14th, 2012
Lovely snow scene. I see the tail end of one just behind the fence post and maybe one in the edge of the shrubbery just off center to the right. They always seem to hide from me when I try to shoot them, too!
January 14th, 2012
@cimes1 thanks carol! glad you like snow pics. at least you don't have to shovel it! :). As for the polar bears, we're closer to Miami than we are to polar bears. From a latitude point of view, we're about the same as Portland Oregon, at about 45.
January 14th, 2012
Such a beautiful wintry scene, Anne - just very cold and blustery here! I love the fence and post - it adds so much to the scene!
January 14th, 2012
Beautiful snowy scene. I love snow! And I'm currently planning a trip north to see Miss Beverly. I think your turkeys have it much harder than my turkeys, though.
January 15th, 2012
Great shot, love the fence and all that white!
January 15th, 2012
