Busy days these days. We have two funerals in three days for friends in their 60's, cancer and heart attack. We took care of our granddaughter for a few hours yesterday. She's in the 95th percentile for height and weight and gives my back a workout. I'm trying to recover from that. So today's pic is another from the beautiful snowy day last week when the birds had to dig for their dinner. This Mourning Dove did it very gracefully.
Nice capture of the dove. I'm amazed at how plumb they look in spite of the winter but I guess you feeding trays help them get through the winter. I'm sorry to learn so of your friends have died recently.
Sorry about your losses. It's always tough to lose a friend & I've lost many way too early. In the meantime, I love your photo of this sweet mourning dove. Excellent capture. Fav.
My condolences for your friends... those are always hard moments... do take care of yourself... lovely capture of a dove... the snow falling makes it so beautiful.
Sorry to hear about your losses. My husband and I just got out wills updated and signed them today. UGH. Cute shot and very well done. Color is so true to these birds.
Beautiful mourning dove, Anne. I love their soft brown color. For some reason these birds always look so gentle to me. I'm so sorry about the loss of your friends. It sounds like you are having a rough week. Hugs!
Great capture - I'm sorry that you seem to be losing your friends - I know how sad that can be and I have yet another funeral to attend next Monday as my friend's husband died last week with a sudden heart attack
Lovely close-up, what sad days you must have had ... glad your grand-daughter visited to cheer you up! My daughters were all on the 5-10% percentile so light weights really!
the mourning doves photograph beautifully. i like this, nice and crisp.
