Wow, this is an amazing portrait of the Grosbeak! I love the details. I see you are still taking photos with your old camera. When is your new camera arriving?
@lauriehiggins thanks Laurie! The 510 is my new camera and so far, I love it. I just picked it up on Monday. It's a bridge so I can still adjust the settings one at a time. It's quite light weight with a 42x zoom.
That is some kind of zoom, which you proved with this photo! My first thought when I saw this was that you were using your new camera. But the coolpix confused me. I don't really know brands of cameras. I'm so glad you love your new light weight camera. I can't wait to see all the lovely things you capture with it.
@paulaag thanks paula. it's kind of you to drop by. the birds come to visit to get the black oil sunflower seeds my husband puts out for them. this stuff in his beak would be the outside coating or shell of the seed.
@morrisroos haha, that would be a great idea! thanks for all your very kind support don! i actually hide behind the wall and stick the camera around the corner. ;-)
any idea what he has in his beak?
