Pulmonaria officinalis has been blooming here for a week or so. It's always the first to appear in the spring, sometimes blooming with snow on the ground. I like the blooms because they're so colourful, changing from pink to bluish purple as they mature, hence the common name of Joseph's Coat. I notice that common name is used for other plants too .... lol.
Many thanks for dropping by. I'm still trying to catch up after a busy Easter weekend. I'll get there!
Wow, these are beautiful flowers. How interesting that they change color as they mature. I think I am always catching up. It all takes time. Would be fun to follow more people but so hard to keep caught up.
Pretty shot and nice to see the leaf detail too which I like. I have these in my garden and the lady I had them from called them buttons and bows. Dont know if that is a common English nickname. Didnt know of Jacobs coat name.
you've composed this so nicely Anne........and it's a gorgeous shot. These flowers are so delicate looking and pretty. i'm not sure if I know what this plant is, but I sure do think it's pretty!
