She's Got It!

A shot taken by our granddaughter just 2 days before her 9th birthday! I love that's she interested in such things. We're thinking this is an Orange Bluet. Anyone?

I would say it is an immature Eastern Forktail female. I use Stokes Beginner's Guide to Dragonflies, which is inexpensive. Might be a good present for your granddaughter! She did well with this shot. They really are quite small.

@annepann thanks Anne! I found eastern forktail the first time I did some reading but forgot about that when i went back the second time.
