Another pic for the memory books rather than a photography competition! It's of a very healthy porcupine chomping away at the bottom of a cedar, just a couple of meters off the trail. Most of us walked right by without even seeing him/her!
I couldn't believe how many dead porcupines we saw going up to the cottage this year! I don't know if there was more traffic going north or the porcupine population was greater - but it was such a sad sight. Glad you saw a live one!
